Dear supporters
For the official ceremony of the highly controversial Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, on Thursday, 5 August, the EU's deputy foreign representative, Enrique Mora, travelled to Iran, despite numerous protests from human rights organisations. I have already reported on Ebrahim Raisi, the bloody judge under whom 5000 political prisoners were executed in 1988 alone and who is also responsible for the death of the wrestler Navid Afkari.
This is a disgrace and a slap in the face of the numerous protesters who are protesting against the radical Islamic regime all over the country and risking their lives for freedom rights.
For all those interested, I have prepared a short email template that you can send directly to Enrique Mora as a protest (below).
Yours
Saideh

Subject: Your visit to Iran is a disgrace
Dear Mr. Mora, I strictly reject your attendance at the ceremony of Ebrahim Raisi in Tehran. You are legitimizing a regime that has been brutally oppressing, torturing and executing its citizens for decades. Expression of public opinion is a human right in Europe. Not so in Iran! Right now, there are nationwide protests, caused, by water shortages, the catastrophic corona situation and the people's rejection of President Raisi and the bloody government. The government is shooting minors, for example in Khuzestan, and mistreating them in torture prisons right now. You are a guest of those who carry out this inhumane policy. You are a tool of their propaganda machine. Congratulations.
As a human rights activist, I cannot accept your decision to travel to Iran.
