Dear supporters,

As you may know from news and press, the presidential election in Iran is due on Friday, 18.6.21. This time, only hardliners were admitted to the election.

The Iranian head of the judiciary, Ebrahim Raisi (60), is considered as favorite, exactly the same judge who was responsible for countless mass executions of Iranians - in 1988 alone 5000 political prisoners were executed under him. The wrestler Navid Afkari, who was executed on September 12, is among his best-known victims.

Iranians themselves are now calling for a boycott of the elections, and election posters are being burned. The regime is already calling all potential non-voters "godless" and is threatening refusers with severe consequences.

The whole world will be watching the Iranian election. Only a very small percentage of Iranians (about 25 percent) plan to vote . This is an important sign because it can undermine the authority of the regime.

To support the Iranians, there will be a demonstration tomorrow in front of the Iranian embassy in Berlin, which you are welcome to join:
