First off, thank you so much for taking the time to sign, share, and comment on this petition. We've reached almost 1,000 signature after one day but there are 89,000 people in Hancock County so we have a ways to go. I emailed it to the commissioners last night so they can see how many people do not want this data center!
The next step is to SHOW UP at the commissioners, county counsel, and planning commissions meetings!
- Commissioners meetings: 8 am September 1st & 15th
- County Counsel meeting: 8:30 am September 9th
- Commissioners and County Counsel joint meeting: 5pm Sept 29 (i think this one will be very important!)
- Planning commission meeting: Sept 22 at 6:30 pm (very important - not on the gov calendar but according to the Greenfield Reporter so will keep you updated)
- All the meetings are at the County Annex - Commissioner's Court 111 S American Legion Place, Greenfield, IN 46140. WE MUST SHOW UP!
- If you cannot attend in person, all meetings are recorded and live streamed on the county's youtube channel
- Go talk to a commissioner in person at Meet & Greet with Commissioner Gary McDaniel: Monday, Aug 31, 2026 5:30-7:30pm at The Wooden Bear 21 W North St, Greenfield, IN 46140

I try and update it daily with who to contact, what meetings to attend, resources you can use to help write letters and call, candidates running in November who are NOs on data centers, and more.
