Stop the Dockworkers' 77% Inflation Tax

Stop the Dockworkers' 77% Inflation Tax
The Issue
The Mob took over the Teamsters in the 60s and 70s and extorted billions of dollars from American consumers before the federal government intervened.
Today, the dockworker unions at America's ports have similarly fallen into the hands of organized crime, which was a key contributor to the 20% inflation on consumer goods we've experienced since the Covid pandemic.
The dockworker unions are currently holding American workers and consumers hostage, demanding a 77% increase in wages to an average of nearly $150,000 a year, or else in the words of the mafia-linked leader of the 40,000-member union, they will "cripple" the economy for their fellow 350 million Americans.
Some key facts about the mafia-linked strike that is already causing a new round of higher prices and shortages of household necessities like toilet paper:
- The mafia-linked leader who took over the dockworkers union and his son currently make about $1.5 million per year, drives a Bentley, lives in a $6 million mansion, owns a yacht, and is rarely seen without flashy gold and diamond jewelry
- He got out of federal wire and mail fraud charges in 2005 after his Genovese crime family defendant was found dead in the truck of a car in New Jersey
- Despite being offered a 50% wage increase, the mafia-linked union is promising to tax the US economy $4,000,000,000+ per day until their extortion demands are met
During the pandemic, the mafia-linked dockworker unions were one of the key contributors to the worst inflation since the Great Depression.
Just a few of the examples of how they have been able to tax every automobile, roll of toilet paper, etc. moving through a US port:
- The mafia-linked union controls every single port in the US, and use their monopoly power and threats to prevent any port from operating non-union or allowing a shipping carrier to utilize a non-union port
- They use this control to negotiate terms such as requiring dockworkers to be paid for 40 hours of work every week after 20 hours are worked, leading to dockworkers going home at noon on Wednesdays and a second shift coming in, doubling the union tax on American goods and allowing union members to work only 2.5 days a week ("Guaranteed Pay")
- Artificially creating "labor shortages" by reserving jobs for family members and pushing salaries as high as $400,000
- Purposefully slowing down port processing times by blocking the use of technologies such as remote control and automation that are used in every other country in the world to steal commerce from America, particularly China
The mafia-linked union boss is promising that American small businesses, workers, and consumers will suffer until "[his] f*cking guys" get paid because the US economy "can't do anything" without them.
But like most statements coming from the mafia-linked unions, that's not true, and there are multiple actions that the federal government can take to put a stop to this $4,000,000,000 a day extortion attempt that will be paid by American workers and consumers:
The White House: Similar to when Ronald Reagan fired the air traffic controllers who also tried illiegally extorting the American economy by shutting down the country's airports and helped break the then-record inflation of the 1970s, President Biden can invoke the Taft-Hartley Act and force the dockworkers back to work
The Justice Department: Similar to how the FBI dismantled the mafia's control of the Teamsters in the 1960s and '70s, the Justice Department can prosecute the mobsters who have taken control of the dockworkers union for their personal gain
Congress: Can outlaw the ability to monopolize critical national infrastructure for personal and organized crime gain and prohibit the mafia-linked unions from preventing the use of technologies that could double port capacity, reduce inflation, and eliminate the goods shortages being artificially manufactured by the unions, causing us to fall behind countries like China, South Korea, and many countries in Europe and Africa who are racing ahead of us with high tech ports
Please sign this petition if you support getting the mafia out of America's unions and ports, creating high tech jobs upgrading America's aging ports infrastructure, and reducing inflation by increasing the capacity and efficiency of America's supply chain.

Invoke the Taft-Hartley Act, prosecute the mobsters trying to shut down the economy and take more money out of my pocket, and make it illegal to prevent our ports from deploying the same high tech that China and every other country around the world are using."
