WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, HEREBY PETITION the County Commissioners of Osceola County and Polk County and Central Florida Expressway to:
 

1.     Consider alternative routes for the Southport Connector through Poinciana in addition to the current planned route along Cypress Parkway.

2.     Complete a Community Impact Assessment of all alternatives considered based on the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation (https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/livability/cia/quick_reference/index.cfm to evaluate the effects of Southport Connector on Poinciana and its quality of life. The information gleaned from this process will be used to inform decisions concerning transportation planning, project alternatives, design, and implementation. The assessment should include all items of importance to people, such as mobility, safety, employment effects, relocation, isolation, and other community issues.
