Stop the Disturbance at fox covert baby garden
The Issue
Hi, my name is Ashleigh Longmore and I am a bereaved mother of a baby who is buried at Fox covert cemetery, baby garden. Recently the parents of each grave have received a letter to say that we have to remove any items or fencing that is placed infront of the gravestones and to use the small gravel area provided. We do not have a gravel area provided on the front row especially as this was never put there, which is why personally I put a small fence infront of my baby’s grave to keep it neat and tidy and cut the grass around the edges myself due to this always being messy when cut by the council. I believer this has been done very cruelly and insensitively considering that this is the only place we can go to remember our babies and place precious items and ornaments to keep their memories alive. My little children enjoy placing gifts for their sister onto her little space we have made which is a small fenced area with pink stones inside, neat edging and grass can be trimmed up to the edge. But even parents that have placed things on the grass, have been given no alternative as to how to keep their grass area tidy, we have simply been told remove the items or they will remove for us. This is obviously such an upsetting thing as grieving parents. Please sign this petition to help us keep our precious spaces and items where they are as most have been there for years now and they all look so lovely and the babies are LOVED. The baby garden looks beautiful the way it is with all the ornaments and windmills, fenced areas with little ornaments which are dedicated to their precious babies. Our babies died. We do not need anything more taken away from us.
