Our voices are making a difference. We’re getting noticed, and we have to keep at it. Last night on his Town Hall Zoom call, San Diego U.S. Congressman Scott Peters was asked about the Turquoise Tower. He said he was vehemently against this project and that he has written a letter to Mayor Todd Gloria expressing his opposition.
This is important because Peters is the founder of YIMBY Democrats in Congress. He is pro-housing but, like other YIMBYs, he knows a disaster when he sees it. He has called it a “mistake”.
