Hi everyone, this is Kenneth Macharia. I want to thank you all for the support you have given me so far. Your support has secured my release from detention. I don't yet have permission to stay in the UK. Your support is giving me confidence that will happen.
There's a charity which has been helping me. They are called Bristol Refugee Rights. They run a drop in centre where lots of help is available including their advice service which helps asylum seekers navigate the complicated system and secure their safety, their housing and their future. They have a big funding problem at the moment and they are trying to raise enough money to continue with this essential work. If they don't raise £29,000 they will have to close the advice service, leaving a huge gap for vulnerable asylum seekers in Bristol.
