Dear supporters, we have made it possible. We could stop the extradition of Carles Puigedemont back to Spain. The court rejected the extradition request for rebellion and sedition but allowed it only for misuse of public funds. This was not enough for the Spanish Supreme Court which decided to drop the warrant. Can you imagine a court refusing to try a criminal? This happens in Spain because this is a political trial seeking revenge (not justice) and frightening the Catalan population. Besides, the Spanish court, politicians, and media have shown a lack of respect for the German court. Puigdemont will be able to return to Belgium this weekend after being forced to stay in Germany for four months. Puigdemont and the rest of the Catalan Government in exile will be free people in the EU territory; but Spain where they could face more than 30 years of jail (despite a German, a Belgien and, very likely, a Scottish court didn't see any crime.)
