On March 20, 2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order dismantling the Department of Education. This means that several DoED programs will be shut down with it. These include Student Loan Forgiveness, Special Education funding, the Child Nutrition Act, Securing Student Rights, and many more. A lot of funding for schools is going to be cut with this shutdown.
