Dear Mayor McNeil-Smith and Sidney Council, 

Outlined are my requests regarding the proposed demolition of the apartment building at 9960 and 9972 Third Street, Sidney, BC – the Charmay Apartments and Seacrest Apartments.

1) Enforce the Tenant Assistance Policy – DV-016.

2) Deny the issuance of the demolition permits until the tenant assistance policy is enforced and revised.

3) Deny applications that exploit loopholes to avoid tenant assistance. 

4) Revise the Tenant Assistance Policy DV-016 to address loopholes such as demolition permits that are used to avoid the application of this policy.
