STOP the 2025 Florida Black Bear Hunt — End the Slaughter Now!

From: Concerned citizens, wildlife advocates, and defenders of Florida’s ecosystem!
What’s Happening?
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), with the support of Governor Ron DeSantis, has approved a Black Bear Hunt scheduled for December 2025!
This is not wildlife management!
This is political appeasement, unethical slaughter, and a catastrophic failure of science-based policy!
Why We Oppose This Hunt:
✅ The data used to justify this hunt is over 10 years old — outdated and misleading!
✅ It was pushed by a small minority of trophy hunters with political influence!
✅ Black bears are not aggressive and avoid humans unless baited or provoked!
✅ Killing mother bears will leave cubs to die slowly from starvation and exposure!
✅ This is not conservation — it’s ego-driven bloodsport!
Black Bears Deserve Protection — Not a Crosshair!
Florida black bears are intelligent, social, and emotionally complex animals! They live in tight-knit family units, raise cubs, and play a vital role in Florida’s forest ecosystems! There has never been a single recorded fatality from a Florida black bear defending her young!
So why are we killing them?
We Demand:
An immediate cancellation of the 2025 Florida Black Bear Hunt!
A moratorium on all future bear hunts in Florida!
A scientific wildlife policy board free from political or hunting-industry influence
Investment in public education and bear-safe community programs!
Who We Are:
We are AME Animal Advocacy and thousands of citizens who believe in truth, compassion, and real conservation!
We support the Second Amendment, but we do not kill for sport!
We carry not for vanity — but for protection!
