Stop the deaths. Regulate all drugs like the drug alcohol.

Stop the deaths. Regulate all drugs like the drug alcohol.
The Issue
I am deeply affected by the current state of drug regulations in our country. Over 100,000 Americans are losing their lives each year due to the Controlled Substances Act. This is a personal issue for me, just as it impacts countless families and communities across the nation. The government's current approach not only fails to prevent these deaths but also sponsors them by charging you taxes to make people buy adulterated unregulated drugs from gangsters.
The time has come for us to reconsider our approach towards drugs. We need to repeal the controlled substances act and regulate all drugs in a manner similar to alcohol, which has proven effective in mitigating harm and ensuring public safety.
Alcohol regulation provides a great framework to mirror because it balances individual freedom with societal protection. It includes age restrictions, licensing requirements for sellers, limitations on advertising, and penalties for misuse such as intoxicated driving.
We hold people accountable for the offense, not the substance consumption preference.
Applying similar regulations to all drugs will significantly reduce the number of drug-related deaths and other negative consequences associated with drug use.
By regulating all drugs like alcohol, we can tax the drugs rather than charging tax payers 10's of billions of dollars a year for punishment - that can be used to provide support services instead of prison sentences for those struggling with addiction.
It's time we stop paying taxes for policies that contribute towards the death tolls. Let's take action now – sign this petition calling on lawmakers to implement regulations on all drugs similar to those applied to alcohol.
