​🚨 The Legal & Humanitarian Crisis
​The recent Supreme Court directive to remove dogs from institutional areas and prohibit their return creates an emergency. This is not public safety; it is cruelty disguised as policy.

​This directive:

​Violates the ABC Rules, 2023: Rule 9(3) legally mandates that healthy, sterilized, and vaccinated dogs must be released back into their original territory. The SC order directly breaks this law.
​Creates De Facto Culling: Mass permanent relocation to unprepared, overcrowded, and unfunded shelters will inevitably lead to disease, suffering, and mass mortality—this is culling by slow neglect. Our infrastructure cannot support this.
​✅ Our Urgent Demand
​We urgently petition the Supreme Court to modify its directive to align fully with the existing law. We demand:

​Enforcement of Release: That all healthy, sterilized, and vaccinated dogs—regardless of where they were picked up—must be released back to their original area as per the ABC Rules, 2023.
​Funded Shelters: If temporary holding is necessary, state governments must guarantee that fully funded, certified, and humane shelters are immediately made available and are actively monitored by the AWBI.
