Stop the unfair and unwarranted daily standing charge for gas and electricity and cap the profits. People are cutting energy use as they cannot afford the extortionate costs so should not unfairly accrue debt just for having an energy supply in their homes over which they have no control.

Deaths from hypothermia, malnutrition and stress related illness due to financial difficulties expressly caused by energy costs should not be acceptable in the UK because of a privatised energy industry making billions in profit that is sanctioned by our govt.

Profits should not be prioritised over peoples lives and these increased costs will cause unnecessary and wholly preventable deaths.

A first world country that ackowledges poverty in third world countries and sends taxpayer funded aid to save lives should not be turning a blind eye to the suffering and deaths of citizens caused by its own policies over successive years that directly caused the poverty that people are facing. 

Stop the grossly unfair daily standing charge over which consumers have no control, cap the profits and remove all taxes and vat on energy.

Energy is not a luxury it is a necessity to sustain life.
