We sent new, shocking video evidence to the council this morning, only to learn shortly afterwards that the local council granted an Exhibition & Training Licence yesterday (21/10/2025). We are hopeful that the new material will result in an urgent reassessment.
Regardless of the new evidence, the council's decision disappointed everyone involved in the campaign, as it feels like months of detailed work, witness testimonies, and photographic evidence have been set aside. We recently spoke with the council, who provided us with an in-depth update, and it is clear that, despite all of the evidence we initially gathered and the 'improvements' that have occurred, so much has been overlooked or not considered.
Please know that this campaign is far from over.
We continue to advocate for proper accountability and animal welfare standards to be upheld.
Fiona has 20 rabbits, and we do not yet know what will happen to the extra 6 that are not covered by the licence. We will keep you all updated with anything and everything new that comes to light, as always.
@the_hoppy_acre and @erinsianthomas are planning an Instagram livestream to go over the entire campaign so far, share where things are currently at, what we plan to do next, and answer questions directly. Please bear with us whilst we organise this.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support this cause. Your support, shares, and signatures make a real difference.
