In Montgomery, Alabama, the inmates of Kilby prison are suffering greatly. The conditions of the facility are extremely dangerous and unsanitary. There are rats and roaches in the food prep area and main dorm. Inmates are being denied hygiene products and basic living essentials for days at a time. The facility has live electrical wires that are being leaked on due to no flood drainage. There is raw sewage, inadequate medical care, corrupt and violent officers and the list continues.

I have attached the official letter from the men of Kilby, who will remain anonymous from fear of retaliation, describing the overall conditions of the prison. 

 

 

 

The lives of these men are greatly at stake. This is a matter that needs immediate attention. Their health both physical and mental depend on it. It is unjust to treat a human being far less than that of an animal. Please help me share the word and bring attention to this matter.
