DHS told us contractors would start showing up this month, and they have! Our local team has been ON it, using every single local technicality to slow down construction while we continue implementing other local, state, and national strategies. It can be hard to share updates here on the petition site as there is never enough hours in the day, but thank you to every single one of you for signing - you make all of us West Texans feel supported!
How to Stay Connected & Support the Fight
If you want to stay connected to what is happening on the ground, make sure to follow the No Big Bend Wall Instagram HERE.
Even though contractors have started staging materials, we believe that this fight is far from over -- but we need your help to continue. Calls to action stay updated on the No Big Bend Wall instagram page.
If you're interested in providing financial support to local operations, you can do so HERE.
In recent news:
- "Spike in border wall spending goes mostly to 2 firms with GOP White House ties." (WaPo)

Housekeeping Updates
When I first started this petition, it was focused on Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Since then, CBP has updated their map and their smart wall plans multiple times, creating a moving target for us to track. To better reflect current on the ground efforts and the latest plans from CBP/DHS, I will be updating this petition with new language to best reflect what is a stake, and what we hope to protect.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. Let's keep up the good fight!
