Norfolk County Council undertook a non-statutory public consultation, which ran between Tuesday 8 May 2018 and Tuesday 3 July 2018. The purpose of this consultation was to understand people’s experience of living in, and travelling through, the area to the west of Norwich. A total of 4,426 website visitors were recorded with 2,327 comments across the platforms used.
Options to explore based on verified mentions during the consultation period showed that over 54% backed options other than the building of a new link road. This was notwithstanding the fact that Option E - ‘Do nothing’ was not an available option.
The data also shows that the most prolific contributors and commentators within the course of the consultation were employees and contractors of Norfolk County Council, though the company conducting the consultation concluded that that this did not have any influence on the data itself.
if you agree that the building of this road is not the correct option please can we ask for the following petition to be signed and shared: http://chng.it/CrHBrT9n
