Hi everyone,
The amendment to this condominium proposal is still very much alive and well. But there are elections coming up on October 22! It's time to ask questions of your elected officials, and of the people running to learn about their position on this proposed amendment. You can make your vote count! I believe that people should make their own choice about politics, and I encourage everyone to ask questions of the people seeking election or re-election. Questions like:
- Do you support the proposed condo development?
- Do you support development in Caledon East? If so, what kind of development and where?
- Have you personally benefited from a relationship with a developer in the past? (Residents should have full transparency on this)
- For current elected officials - how have you voted previously on development in Caledon East and why?
Politicians seeking re-election and those people seeking to be elected should be able to answer these questions. I encourage you to do your research to make an informed decision on October 22.
And thank you all for your support of this petition. We have over 1000 signatures now. When the official public meeting is held regarding this amendment, I will be presenting this petition and the comments that have been made.
