Hello everyone,
first of all, I wanted to thank each and every one of you for signing this petition.
As many of you may be aware, the federal government can not usually intervene with provincial governments application of health care. However, in this petition we are asking that in this case an exception is made and the case to be handled like the human rights violation it has become and not like a regular provincial health care issue.
For this reason, I have sent our petition to several members of our federal government and we have had them bring it to the attention of the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Health. Additionally, as today marks our 100th signature I will be forwarding this to the Honourable Sylvia Jones, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health of Ontario.
What does this mean?
This means that we’re getting somewhere! For me to build a case and take it directly to parliament I need 500 signatures. We’re only 1/5th of the way there. Please share this petition. Make flyers, text it to your friends, post it in groups, send it in an email, give it to strangers, whatever works best for you.
Let’s come together and fight for our right to live.
