Enfield council are decommissioning the Sexual Health & Contraceptive Service in Enfield, this will result in the following

• An increased number of sexually transmitted infections across North London 
• A rise in unwanted pregnancies 
• 30+ highly specialised consultants, doctors and nurses facing redundancy 
• Lack of access to:- Medicine to protect against HIV (PEP/PREP), support and referral for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault

It will also mean that Enfield residents will have to travel as far as Hatfield, Islington and Tower Hamlets to access the same service they currently receive on their doorstep!

This is not just about continuity of service. This service is a safety net for thousands of residents -  safeguarding the community's health, maintaining employment for dedicated healthcare professionals and acting responsibly to resist the furtherance of deprivation in Enfield.
