The City of Sacramento surely can’t make it happen, but maybe, someone else, surely can…. Someone who cares about our families and our community and loves baseball. Someone who can see the opportunity in Renfree Field to “Create something special for Sacramento”.

Sacramento’s very own baseball great Leon Lee (in this video clip from 2021—video about Renfree starts at 20:18) says this is something he’s been chasing for [over]10 years now.

People have said, “Why don’t you give up?”, but he says, “I’ve never learned the word quit. There’s a lot of other baseball things that I want to do on a national scale, that we’re planning to do, but there’s something about Renfree that has to happen. I think God said it’s gonna happen, and I’m not ever gonna give up on it…. I’ve always believed in our life, in our legacy, that we’re either running from something- or running to something. I’d rather be running to something.”
