Petition updateStop! Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Black Bear Hunt!Baiting is Deception and Betrayal of Trust

I reflect today on values.  Of having morals and common decency. I can not comprehend betrayal of Trust.  When an innocent animal or child places their trust in you. And they perceive you to have good intentions. Most of us should have a conscience to remind us, of right and wrong. And most would never intentionally break the trust placed with us.

Conservation-A pretty word that is used by Wildlife Departments. We think it means to protect. When in reality- it means to protect in quantities large enough to sustain a hunt, without causing extinction.

Trust-: assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something. b. : one in which confidence is placed.

Deceit- 1. the action or practice of deceiving someone by concealing or misrepresenting the truth."a web of deceit"

All month long. The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and State of Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Departments have sponsored workshops in the disguise of conservation. They are protecting nothing. They were training and promoting Black Bear killing workshops. How to find the Bears, how to build bait stations, what kind of enticements to fill the barrels with. The anatomy of the Bear, so to get the fatal shot. And lastly, how to skin the Bear.

Right now, daily barrels of food are being kept full. And slowly, the Bears natural fear of man is replaced with trust. The Bears are led to believe by deception, that there is kindness and goodness placed by a human upon their path. That their hunger is relieved  by this precious gift to them. They don’t  know, the hunter is watching in delight on their webcam. With plans of a horror against them. Each day they come in to feed. The hunter marks a calendar day off-one by one. until the day will come, that he can walk up and shoot an arrow straight through that Bears- trusting heart. The hunter knows the time of day, the Bear usually comes to feed. And he will lie in wait for him to arrive on the fateful day. An arrow shot straight through his  heart, before the Bear has reason or a chance to fear, that there is danger. The shot Bear will lie, with almost human form, but he doesn’t kill quietly. Not like other creatures, who make no sound  at all. But rather, he will moan loudly, his final sounds will fill our forest, until his last living breath is taken.

They call this hunting. They call this conservation.
This is barbarism and Greed. By humans without decency,  compassion or a conscience.
