Since the decision taken by Mayor Boris Johnson, the team have been inundated with questions as to what happens next. The simple answer is that the whole matter will now be looked at again by staff at City Hall. Many of you will have noticed that other parties have been very active in filling the vacuum since the decision was announced. Because AFC Wimbledon have been encouraging their supporters to lobby the mayoral candidates, many of you have asked why are we not. Having assessed the current political position, we have felt that to do so also at this point would be counter productive for many reasons. We will return to lobbying but only when the issue of who is the new Mayor is clearer. Others have seen that the Racing Post has been quoting Paschal Taggart heavily. Having been 'disappointed' in the past when from Mr Taggart's original plans, we were then later dropped from the 2.0 version, we will be looking for 'firm' assurances this time round. We are though at a very early point in the new process. What we have been through so far was very much simply 'the end of the beginning'.... ...the real hard work is still ahead of us !!
