The B.C. Government has yet again stolen another child. Our precious Amella STOLEN from us!. My name is Sonja. I am First Nation. I recently gave birth to my child Amella Saphaira on March 11th 2023. On March 17th MCFD without notice and against the release plan agreed MCFD apprehended Amella. While I was not there pumping milk having dinner. They gave me no paperwork, cut me off from breastfeeding or milk delivery, Did not tell me where they are taking her or who she is with. They have lied and manipulated the entire 6 months leading up to and after Amella's birth, She came two months early and should still be in hospital. Instead of helping me or offering any supports, any way to address their concerns they have abandoned me and stole my baby! They have done nothing to help me or my child. And now have traumatized us all. They have suggested I leave my loving husband and move to a East Vancouver Transition house off Hastings Street, They try to label my husband as abusive, try to turn me against him with lies. They suggested I go back to my reservation in Northern Alberta, alone, or they will take my child. Now they have because i wouldn't leave. I am being destroyed as a person. In 2020 I lost my first child 5 months pregnant to preeclampsia. Now in the same hospital where I lost my last child they taken my living one. My precious flesh and blood. Before birth I was bleeding constantly for two weeks in hospital. I risked my life again to have Amella. I love my baby. It's our baby. Not some dog you give away to someone else. I am not a breeder for entitled people! I am a good mother and my husband is a good father. We desperately need your help to not allow the B.C. Government to destroy another family. To steal yet another First Nation child because they can get away with it in silence. Do not allow them continue the cycle of generational trauma. Please sign our petition and pass it on.
