To YouTube and The Show Real Stories; 

We, the undersigned, strongly urge you to immediately cancel the Airing of the so called "documentary" called "Surviving Michael", also known as Leaving Neverland 2. This production is a continuation of the HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL and demonstrably flawed "Leaving Neverland " which was widely criticized for its factual inaccuracies,  manipulated timeliness and unsubstantiated accusations against Michael Jackson. 
  
We are deeply concerned that "Surviving Michael " will perpetuate the same pattern of misinformation and biased narratives that characterized it's predecessor. The original "Leaving Neverland recieved significant scrutiny with numerous amounts of discrepancies and outright falsehoods being identified by viewers and researchers. Notably, the accuser have repeatedly contradicted their own testimonies, changed crucial details, and perjured themselves in legal proceedings. Their initial cases were dismissed because of these inconsistencies and a lack of credible evidence to support their claims.  

The recent revival of their claims is based on newly amended statutes regarding the statute of limitations of childhood sexual abuse cases. This does not validate their claims or the veracity of their accusations. It merely provides them with a renewed opportunity to purse financial settlements despite the lack of any new credible evidence to support their claims.  

We believe the Airing of "Surviving Michael " would;
•Disseminate misinformation- it would continue to the spread of unproven and heavily contested allegations,  potentially damaging the reputation of an individual who has been posthumously unable to defend himself.
•Promote False Narratives; it would give a platform to individuals who have repeatedly demonstrated a lack of reliability in their testimonies. 
•Disregard legal precedent; it would ignore the fact that these allegations have been repeatedly challenged and dismissed in legal proceedings. 
•Cause unnecessary harm; it would inflict further emotional distress to Michael Jackson's family, friends and fans who have already endured years of baseless accusations. 
•Violate ethical standards; it would prioritize sensationalism over factual accuracy and responsible reporting.  

We demand that YouTube and the show True Stories uphold journalistic integrity and ethical standards by refusing to air "Surviving Michael." We call upon you to prioritize truth and fairness over potentially lucrative, but ultimately harmful, content.
