I am upset about the imminent implementation of AI at Quaker School in Horsham, a place where many students like myself, who are neurodivergent, have found a supportive and understanding educational environment. As someone who appreciates the unique and personalized approach that our school offers, I find it upsetting that there is a plan to incorporate AI into our educational framework.

The good of our school lies in its ability to understand and cater to the individual needs of its students. In an era where AI is always on the rise, the introduction of AI threatens to alter the very fabric of our school’s ethos. While AI can offer certain efficiencies and innovations, it cannot replicate the nuanced, compassionate understanding that our educators provide.

in a simulation they made the AI think it had complete control over the building it was in and it was told that someone was going to shut it down.when asked what it would do the result was horrible. it said it would lock all the doors, fill the room with poisonous gas and blackmail the person into not shutting it down.To let some thing like that into an environment with children, neurodivergent children is wrong.

In institutions like ours, where understanding and adapting to each student's unique circumstances are paramount, the reliance on AI could overshadow these humanistic goals. We are calling on the school directors and stakeholders to reconsider this approach. Instead of implementing AI, let's focus on enhancing human resources and providing more training to our educators to better cater to neurodivergent students.
