Petition updateJune 6 deadline: Stop $809K Dog Park in Key Biscayne Village Green. Ink Signature Required
Hooray!!! Initiative Petition is Filed with Village Clerk

Susan JochKey Biscayne, FL, United States

Apr 7, 2016
Today the Petition was formalized by a timely submittal of the
INITIATIVE PETITION to the Village Clerk by the Petitioner's Committee of ten registered KB voters.
The petition submitted today still needs to be reviewed by an attorney for legal sufficiency. Is there an attorney in our community who is willing to review the Petition? The INITATIVE PETITON has been added to the change.org description section.
After review by the Council, most likely at the April 12th Council meeting at 7:00pm, the Petition may be ready for all of us supporters to actually sign the formal petition. We need 625 signatures (signed in ink) from REGISTERED VOTERS of Key Biscayne.
I encourage all of the other residents (who are not registered voters) to sign this change.org petition because it is important for all residents ,both young and old , to have their voice heard by our Village Council. The children under the age of 12 are the largest percentage of our residents that use the Village Green. The construction of a dog park on the north side of the Village Green will take valuable space away from this group of children. Dog Park Posted Rules State: “Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and NO children under the age of 8 are allowed in the dog park. "
This Change.org petition gives every resident the opportunity to express to the Village Council that we DO NOT WANT A DOG PARK IN THE VILLAGE GREEN!
I encourage you to sign this petition, email or speak to the Council, and come to the meeting on April 12th to show support and or speak to the Council directly for a maximum of 3 minutes during the Public Comments Section of the Council meeting. It is important to sign up to speak at the start of the 7:00pm Council meeting.
