We need an attorney to review Initiative petition for legal sufficiency.

We need a supporter who is an attorney or knows of an attorney who will review the petition for adequacy. Please contact Susan Joch today at 786-246-2035 if you are an attorney willing to review the 3 page formal petiton. The petition was filed with the Village Clerk today by email because the Village Clerk was not in the office today, nor was the administrative assistant available when I arrived at the Village Clerk's office. It is recommended by the Village Attorney to have the Petition reviewed for adequacy by an attorney. The Village Attorney requires a $1500 deposit to review the petition for adequacy so I prefer to find an attorney who will not charge for their services. The photo posted today shows the fenced off area for the new dog park to be built on the Village Green. We need to STOP the Village Council from taking valuable land from the Village Green residents of all ages. Children under 8 are not allowed in the dog park. Children under 12 must be with an adult supervisor. CHILDREN UNDER 12 ARE THE MAJORITY OF THE PARK USERS. Pass the word and this petition to everyone you know. Soon the Petitioners' Committee will be collecting the 625 required original signature of KB registered voters that support stopping the dog park in the Village Green. The signatures must be filed within 60 days of the Petition filing date. So we have until June 5th to submit the signatures. With every supporter signature and more this will not be difficult to achieve. It would be even more impactful if we could submit over 1000 signatures to the Village Council reinforcing the that they must listen to the intentions of their constituents! All our our resident's opinions matter even if they don't attend the Village Council meetings or sit on the Dog Park Committee. All registered voters of KB must sign if they support our cause. It is disappointing that the voices of our children who use the Village Green can't be heard by our Village Council, too. We must all sign on behalf of the interests of the children of Key Biscayne. em
