We are getting the attention of local decision makers and it's all thanks to this petition and the actions taken by its supporters to raise awareness about the major issues surrounding the 7th Street Commons! Thank you for sharing this petition, talking to neighbors, putting signs in your yard, and reaching out to the city council and mayor directly!
I met with Mayor Hull yesterday and he shares many of our concerns. He thinks it is important for us to speak out especially regarding the lack of transparency from Pulte regarding the environmental cleanup. He said that the city is looking further into the process through the IEPA and pushing Pulte to provide their plan. He encouraged us to keep asking questions and appreciated our civic action. He told me that he believes the city council is listening to us and taking our concerns seriously. The time to get our questions answered and the issues resolved with the 7th Street Commons is before the November 2nd vote! Don't wait! Contact your alderman today and keep sharing this petition!
