The Hearing Examiner re-set the Public Comment to this Thursday (26th) at 9AM at the Public Services Building (Annex), South Entrance, Public Meeting Room 2401 South 35th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. This is the only time the public has had the opportunity to verbally comment on this proposal. The County avoided any public hearings on this proposal. Tell the Hearing Examiner: 1) this project will cause significant impacts to Puyallup and the County's determination that there would be no significant impacts (mDNS) should be rejected; 2) Shaw Road was not built to handle 2,000 big trucks per day at one intersection; 3) we the citizens did not pay $26 million ($8 Million from City) to build Shaw Road Overpass to support this proposal; 4) this proposal is inconsistent with Puyallup's land use plan; 5) per Puyallup's plan and previous agreements with the land owners and the County some of this land should be protected as open space/agriculture; and 6) the Shoreline permit for stormwater discharges should not be allowed until all impacts from the project are mitigated.
