First, thank you. Because of you, over 4,000 people have signed the petition to protect the Blackfoot River corridor. This level of support sends a powerful message — and now it’s time to make that momentum visible across Missoula and reach neighbors who don’t yet know about this issue.
Important clarification: Donations made through Change.org support the Change.org platform and do not go directly to our campaign.
To reach those who haven’t yet heard and show local leaders our community is rallying to protect what matters, we’ve launched a dedicated GoFundMe to support:
· Lawn signs and outreach materials
· Community awareness efforts
· Visibility across neighborhoods and river communities
👉 Donate directly to support this work here: Protect the Blackfoot River
As a reminder, Riverside Contracting has submitted permit applications for a proposed 64-acre gravel pit and hot asphalt plant along the Blackfoot River 4 mi upstream of Bonner. In response, local families, community members, and river lovers formed the Blackfoot River Community, a volunteer-led grassroots effort dedicated to protecting this special place. No one is paid for this work. Every dollar raised goes toward outreach and community awareness.
Even if you’re not able to donate, sharing this petition, helping spread the word and contacting the Missoula County Commissioners makes a real difference. Together, we are showing that our community remains united and committed to protecting what matters.
The Blackfoot River and all lifeforms Thank You for your support. 🌊💚
