The Issue

Earlier this week, TFL sent out an email stating that the 359 bus frequency is set to be cut from every 45 minutes to every hour.

In 2022, we saw the 359 bus service cut from 30 minutes to 45 minutes this took one bus off the route, now TFL seems to be planning to cut another bus from the route.

Many people rely on this route especially those on Monks Hill Estate and Purley Downs Road will be further isolated due to the bus cuts and no other transport connections being available.

People going between Selsdon and Purley will see a reduction in service and these cuts will affect those heading to appointments at Purley Hospital, students travelling to and from school and those who are travelling to and from work.

We are calling on Transport for London and the Mayor of London to:
Halt the service cuts to the 359.
Maintain and improve frequency of the bus route to ensure buses run at least every 30 to 45 minutes.
