URGENT CAMPAIGN UPDATE:
👉 JOIN THE DISCORD HERE: https://discord.gg/HHTqGBYP8G
WE NEED YOU IN THE DISCORD TO ORGANIZE. If you are ready to help print flyers, make signs, and coordinate tabling and in-person protests, please join our discord server right now, or continue to share the petition and spread awareness in any way that you can.
Coyotes, the momentum is entirely on our side. In the last 48 hours, the narrative has completely flipped against the administration. Here is exactly where we stand and what we need to do.
Our time is limited. The window for students to provide input in this process has been kept deliberately short, and so we must act quickly in the following week.
THE UNIVERSITY NEWSPAPER WROTE ABOUT THIS ISSUE!
Coyote Chronicle Article
The Coyote Chronicle just dropped a bombshell article titled: "CSUSB’s IRA fee structure channels millions to athletics while students are asked to weigh in." This publicly validates everything we have been screaming about. It is now on the public record that the administration is forcing a $300 fee hike to subsidize sports on a commuter campus. Furthermore, we now have the meeting minutes proving the official Campus Fee Advisory Committee (CFAC) voted 7-to-3 AGAINST doing this Alternative Consultation, and the administration ignored them.
SURVEY DEADLINE RED FLAG! VOTE NO NOW
Access the Survey here! (Students only, requires login)
The newspaper article states the official survey closed on Thursday. However, the link is still active and accepting responses. Do not assume it is over. Until that link physically breaks, we must assume they are still collecting data. If you have not voted NO yet, do it right this exact second. Send it to your group chats. Make them record every single "NO" vote until they pull the plug.
NEXT PHASE: IN-PERSON ORGANIZING
Online petitions and social media posts spread the word. Now, we need people on campus. The administration is banking on us staying behind our screens. We are not going to.
Join the discord, keep posting in social media, and more importantly, tell people in person!
In Solidarity,
Coyotes Against the Hike
