Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Congratulations to everyone involved in our recent campaign! I am happy to announce that we have achieved significant milestones:
- A 9% reduction in height, which eliminates the FAA blinking light requirement.
- The removal of one of the entrances.
- An increase in landscaping for existing homes.
- The potential introduction of a Dark Skies bill.
These accomplishments are a testament to our collective efforts and determination. As you know, and was noted by Mayor Goodman at yesterday's meeting, the Church was steadfast in their unwillingness to make any compromises in any form. While many of us had hoped for more substantial changes, we should celebrate these victories and the progress we've made.
It is crucial that we hold our councilwoman accountable for her proposed (and questionably timed) Dark Skies initiative. Additionally, the importance of voting in elections cannot be overstated. We must ensure that we vote out elected officials who have shown themselves to be easily manipulated through contributions, trips, and gifts.
As we move forward, let us remember the lessons learned from this process and continue to stand together for our community. Your dedication and hard work have made a difference, and together, we can achieve even greater things.
Thank you.
