We at Middlesbrough patriots are deeply concerned about the proposed conversion of Infinity House on Sorbonne Close into Teesside's largest House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) with an estimated capacity to house over 229 occupants. This change will not only disrupt our community but also have significant negative impacts on our neighbourhood.

The planned HMO at Infinity House will bring an influx of transient residents who are not invested in our community’s future. This usually leads to increased anti-social behaviour, noise pollution, and strain on local resources such as parking, waste management, and public transport. We have already seen evidence of deteriorating conditions in similar projects nearby. Increased rubbish on streets, the deterioration of property values, and greater demand on already stretched public services have been documented by local news outlets, evidencing a worrying trend that this project could replicate.

We urge Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council to listen to the voices of its residents of Thornaby and surrounding areas. Please join us in opposing the establishment of this gigantic HMO by signing this petition.
