Abused spouses and their children are fighting daily to survive when married into the military. We’re fighting to be heard, to get a chance to tell our story. We’re being ignored, 8 years being with my husband I have experienced multiple domestic violence and child abuse issues. Over 25 occurrences and investigations and he is still active duty in the United States Marine Corps. All while still hurting my children and I. After 27 occurrences from 2015-2019 the military finally acted which was an administrative warning. From 2019-2021 there were 13 more incidents, but was only held accountable for one! Which resulted in completing an anger management class. 2021 to present there were 13 more incidents, leadership ignored his arrest in Lake Havasu for domestic violence on my son and I. 

May 12th, 2023 my husband went and put an ex parta on myself from my baby and our home. He did this while I was out getting my daughters hair done for prom. I did not find out for 3 weeks, when the children and I were suppose to go home to California. He was able to put a restraining order on a mother who not only raised her own 3 children, but his 3 children as well alone for years. He went into court and told them that he has been the sole provider for all 6 children, which is a lie. I’m still paying his children’s and his bills. With no company anymore or income coming in I have had to resort to a go fund me to help make ends meet while fighting my abuser in court. He was about to lose control over myself and children so he had to endure to stop that from happening. He went into court and told them he legitimized himself for my baby in the state of California. He did NOT do this, and no evidence was needed, the judge denied me a hearing because I was a business owner commuting to and from California to Georgia for 8 months. I did this to support my family and set my children and I up without having to worry about having bills. The judge told me I was unstable due to traveling, even though I now have the opportunity to work from home, which was always the goal. This GySgt in the USMC went into court and his attorney told the judge he was an officer in the USMC. Impersonating an officer of the military is a criminal offense. He openly admitted to lying on court documents in order to take my son from me, in front of two military police and a family advocate officer. He’s allowed my son (one at the time), to be sexually assaulted by his daughter. I begged him for years to sign the paperwork so I could get her help, his ex wife and him denied getting her help. I was forced to hire a live in nanny and work 3 companies to support all 6 children on my own with no child support or assistance. My son has been abused by this man numerous times with witnesses. My baby he use to pick up by his throat along with my middle child. He has thrown the children against walls in front of people. I am fighting to get my children away from this Marine with everything I have. 

I am now fighting to get my children that he has no legal rights to in the state of California, because he came to the state of Georgia lying under oath and admitting to perjury. I am fighting for children I have provided for on my own for years to include his as well. I’m fighting the man who had affairs in my children’s bathroom and then blamed me for his actions. I’m fighting a Marine who has attempted to kill me 3x throughout our relationship. I’m fighting a man who still gets to wear a uniform in the United States Marine corps, all while abusing his first wife, myself, and 6 children. This needs to stop the military needs to be held accountable for ignoring and sweeping the abuse under the carpet. His superiors have witnessed the abuse along with helping hide it. He has threatened me to take my children from me plenty of times throughout our marriage and relationship. He has 100% complete say on when I can see my son. My son that he’s not even on the birth certificate too. How is GA going to break the law and deny a hearing to a mother who owned a daycare, to a mother who has unconditionally loved her children for 16 years? A mother who has been abused more times than she can count in front of her children. How are we allowing the military to continue to lie and protect these men who do the unimaginable behind closed doors? 

I have had to had reconstructive surgery on my mouth due to him punching me in the face. I have had to be called out of work because he abused me so many times. The amount of domestic violence in the military is beyond unbelievable. There are so many spouses coming forward with their stories after I have started going public fighting for my children. I am sickened knowing that I’m not the only one going through this, I’m not the only one who’s being pushed out of their home and receiving no financial support from the military. There are military orders in place to protect us that are not being followed. We have to change this before one more spouse becomes unalived. We have to stand United and fight us abused spouses and children who are suffering.
