We must put an end to the insane campaign advocating the handover of Sudan to the Rapid Support Forces militia, which some have started and whose voices will be increasing up in different ways in the next days. Those behind it, including corrupt politicians and sell-swords journalist and media figures, must be exposed. Actors in the public space in Sudan should be motivated to reform the army and other state apparatus facilities so they better serve the Sudanese people, rather than to replace them with something even worse, given the bad nature of the army and its' terrible performance and numerous flaws. The Rapid Support Forces Militia, which was formed to support the deposed Bashir dictatorship via criminality and tyranny, is an entirely fascist group that should not exist in a peaceful or stable Sudan, let alone replace anything. In Darfur, RSF committed different types of atrocities such as ethnic cleansing, murder, looting, rape, and systematic displacement as a matter of existential nature to safeguard the Bashir regime of its masters. Now, with the backing of alternative-to-reality political narratives and the patronage of countries that support it on a national level, it is committing these same crimes again. Hemedti is a notorious war criminal who enlisted in politics for his own benefit and to enlarge his fascist empire by the employment of various forms of crime, mercenaryism, and banditry. Even if the funds and influence of Emirates manage to buy the consciousness of some politicians or countries , it will not be able to remove the images and effects of the massacres and crimes perpetrated by the militia from the minds of the Sudanese people.
The militia war is being promoted through false narratives of democracy, reform, and civil rule; nonetheless, the existence of these criminal forces does not align with any hope of a normal, secure, or stable living in Sudan. In the context of the systematic crimes, violations, killings, looting, and rape perpetrated against the Sudanese people, the efforts to legitimize and utilize the Rapid Support Militia's weapons to further the political ambitions of certain individuals and parties amount to direct participation in its atrocities.
