Did you work during the first incentive 1/3-1/10?
The lump sum was due to be paid today! To my best knowledge, no one received pay. A class action grievance for the RNs was promptly filed.
Management has acknowledged the grievance with this response,
“Hi Katie,
I can acknowledge receipt of this. Class action grievances that cover the entire bargaining unit can be challenging for us to identify the right grievance participants. It will take us a few extra days to determine this, and then we will need to schedule. I don’t have a specific ask now, but we’d appreciate your patience and flexibility in getting this scheduled as soon as possible.
We’ll follow up once we determine KP’s step 2 participants.
Thanks, and have a great weekend.
Spencer Hardy, J.D.”
To which I replied,
“Hello Spencer,
The company has had sufficient time to pay our members accordingly. A grievance to get paid for work already completed should not even have to take place. We do not agree to an extension to meet. You have 10 days per CBA before we have the contractual right to advance to mediation.”
This is wage theft!! KP already had you perform the work. They agreed to paid and a timeframe of which they ignored. Please file with BOLI or L&I - see updates below.
