In addition to our online total of 365 signatures, I also have 45 names on paper.  I have hand-written an additional 35 letters to my neighbors, explaining our opposition to the greatest transformation our City could be subjected to since the Restoration of the Historic Area.  This potential transformation is unlikely to have the global significance the Restoration has had-it is more likely to turn Williamsburg into "Everywhere, USA".

This petition is not "anti-growth" or "anti-development", but it is telling the City and its anonymous "stakeholders" that we want to keep density and height restrictions at the level most in keeping with the character and proportion of Williamsburg.  

I'm writing more letters this week, and still have yard signs to distribute to everyone who wants them.  Pass it on , Friends and Neighbors, pass it on!
