Petition updateSTOP SILENT EXECUTIONS IN IRAN: Emergency Protection for Melika Azizi and OthersStop the Execution of 19-Year-Old Mohammadamin Biglari

Free IranToronto, Canada

19 Feb 2026
On January 8, 2026, Mohammadamin Biglari, a 19-year-old youth, was arrested in connection with nationwide protests. On February 15, 2026, after a summary trial that lacked any semblance of due process, he was sentenced to death on the charge of "Moharebeh" (Enmity against God).
- Age and Vulnerability: At just 19 years old, Mohammadamin is at the very start of his life. His sentencing is a violation of international standards regarding the right to life.
- Lack of Due Process: Reports indicate that Mohammadamin was denied access to independent legal counsel and that his "confession" was extracted under extreme duress.
- Violation of International Law: The use of capital punishment against protesters for exercising their rights to freedom of expression and assembly is a direct violation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), to which Iran is a signatory.
Please continue raising awareness and sharing this petition calling for the release of all detained protesters in Iran and an immediate halt to the execution of Mohammadamin Biglari and others.
