Dear supporters, our campaign is already having impact. Thanks to all the community pressure, the WA Fisheries Minister is considering installing shark barriers.

The ABC article reports that the Minister wrote to "six other councils, inviting them to talk about further opportunities for installing the barriers along the Swan River" and that they are considering "traffic and environmental factors as well."

I hope the different councils urgently respond to the Minister and we can have safety measures in place at different locations, such as Walter Point, frequented by families and kids. We cannot have another death. I want to feel safe about my kids when they go out into the water.
