Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a marine biologist. On one unforgettable birthday, I had the joy of feeding seals. It was a magical experience that deepened my love and respect for these intelligent, gentle creatures of the sea. Now, it breaks my heart to know that thousands of these beautiful animals are brutally slaughtered every year in Canada for their fur and oil.

Despite international outcry, the Canadian seal hunt continues to be the largest marine animal slaughter on the planet, with over 30 countries, including the United States and members of the European Union, having banned the import of seal products. Each spring, innocent seal pups, who are sometimes as young as three weeks old, are inhumanely clubbed or shot. Sometimes they don't even die till they are hurting on the ice they see no point in life so they just give up and die.

Scientific research has demonstrated that seals have rich social lives, communicate with each other in complex ways, and possess a strong sense of play. It is a tragedy that these intelligent beings are subjected to such cruelty. Additionally, there is substantial evidence indicating that the seal hunt is not even economically necessary,So lets stop it !

We must urge the Canadian government to end this outdated and inhumane practice. By adopting non-lethal methods and investing in eco-friendly and sustainable industries, Canada can preserve its marine wildlife, promote sustainable stewardship of its rich ocean resources, and lead the world in humane wildlife management.

Please help me to ensure the animals are safe and they are not bleeding on the ice. I want a happy sustainable future where no animals are harmed but loved with care. We should recycle and cut down on single use plastic and stop littering since that should be illegal but also for the biodiversity and it is on us that we have problems like this the only way to stop it is by helping me making sure these seals aren't dying and animals are safe
