We need to talk about Ledbury Many in the UK are STILL at risk due to construction errors on tower blocks that experts have been warning of for decades. On the Ledbury Estate (also in Southwark, the same borough as Lakanal), the local council have finally acted on reports from experts that show how a gas explosion could cause the blocks to collapse! Reports from engineers came out as early as 1986 on the structural flaws at this and similar blocks, but were repeatedly ignored. Residents are currently living without showers and heating, and a promise from the Council it will be fixed in a month(!)
