EVENT: We're delivering our petition to DCLG - Tues 22nd August 10.30am

After a month of waiting, we're getting a little restless. We're almost ready to deliver our petition to DCLG, and we're hoping that they'll finally take notice. You'll have seen from an earlier update that we emailed DCLG and the Mayor of London a month ago, and no one has got back to us. I called their office last week, and was given the response that we would get a response. That's simply not good enough. The Grenfell inquiry scope has been released this week, but no one knows how long it will take to finish its investigation, let alone do anything meaningful. We need action now, and we still feel that the excellent proposals from the Lakanal inquest would be a great start. Two things you can do to help: 1) Attend the delivery with us. So far we're being joined at the delivery by Sian Berry, who is the General London Assembly's Chair of the Housing Committee. She's spoken at many events, including some for Grenfell.
