We are living in a time where violence, self destruction, addiction, humiliation, and criminal behavior are being packaged as entertainment  and rewarded with views, placements, sponsorships, and payouts.

That isn’t “just music.”

That’s a business model.

 

And the truth is simple:

When you reward destruction, you eventually inherit destruction.

This petition is a call for accountability, standards, and cultural responsibility especially in the spaces influencing youth the most.

The Real Problem

Right now, the entertainment system often rewards content that:

Glorifies violence as status
celebrates disrespect as personality
promotes self-destruction as “realness” turns trauma into a trend pushes kids toward outcomes that communities spend years trying to repair.

Meanwhile, artists and creators who promote:

Discipline
Healing
Purpose
Faith and Values
Restoration
Community Uplift

 

…are treated like they’re “not marketable.”

 

That’s backwards.

 

The “Secular vs Christian” Trap Is Part of the Problem

Culture keeps forcing creators into a fake debate: “Is it secular or is it Christian?”

 

But the real question is:

Is it building people or breaking them?

Many people will never listen to music packaged as church  but they will listen to music packaged as culture.

 

So instead of arguing labels, we need a bridge that reaches real life without glorifying destruction.

 

That’s what we call:

A cultural delivery method where moral truth, accountability, and redemption are embedded inside culturally fluent sound so the message reaches rooms that would reject traditional religious packaging.

We are not calling for censorship of artists or storytelling.

We are calling for the industry to stop:

Artists should be able to document real life  but the goal should not be to glorify chaos, addiction, abuse, or death.Truth can be raw. But truth should lead somewhere.

 

PUBLIC vs ADULT MUSIC (Lane Separation)

One of the biggest issues in culture is no separation.Everything gets placed in front of everyone.We support a lane system where platforms and media are encouraged to: separate public/institution-ready content from adult-only raw storytelling with clear labeling and standards

That’s not censorship that’s responsibility.

 

WHAT WE ARE ASKING FOR 

We are calling on platforms, labels, media outlets, streaming services, and major content distributors to implement the following:

1) Stop incentivizing violence and degradation

Do not boost content that explicitly promotes:

Real-life violence

Gang recruitment
Humiliation culture
Self-harm or reckless endangerment
Drug glorification aimed at youth

 

2) Add “Cultural Impact Standards”

Create standards that prioritize content that:

encourages responsibility

promotes community uplift
supports healing, stability, leadership, and growth

 

3) Improve youth protection systems

Require clearer separation and labeling between:

“Public / All Ages”

“Adult / Mature Storytelling”

4) Reward solutions — not destruction

Increase visibility for artists and creators who build culture responsibly, including:

youth programs

civic events
educational partnerships
purpose-driven storytelling

5) Stop using “culture” as an excuse to profit off harm

The industry should not hide behind “freedom of expression” while turning destruction into a paycheck.

 

WHY THIS MATTERS

Because kids copy what gets rewarded.

Because communities absorb what gets normalized.

Because the world is watching what we call “culture.”

Because influence is real and so are the consequences.

We’re not asking the industry to become religious.

We’re asking the industry to become responsible.
