UPDATE: Quebec decreases tuition hike from $17,000 to $12,000, exempts Bishop’s

In a sort of compromise between the English universities and the Quebec Government, the price increases for out-of-province students have been reduced and Bishop’s will not have a tuition increase. In return, McGill and Concordia are expected to have 80% of their student populations at a level-five French proficiency.

While this cost is still a large increase, it is certainly a step in the right direction.
