On November 14 a few of my neighbours banded together and attended the Tribunal.

This whole process was a great eye opening experience and resulted in our clear witness to how our leaders and the people we should count on DO NOT have the best interest that they portray or try to portray.

The City lawyer ended his points with reference of the quote  “If you have two shirts in your closet one belongs to you and one to the man with no shirt”.  As we signed this petition knowing this build is hiding behind the Provincial mandate of building AFFORDABLE housing ..which this is not.

This build is one of many monster builds planned around Hurontario.  They moved the City boundaries over to accommodate this build.

The city lawyer also begged not to provide draft documentation of what was requested  because they didn’t want questions or show anything until final documents are ready. The developer lawyer was willing to provide this but changed his mind upon persuasion by the City lawyer.  Ended with final documents to be provided on April 1 (a date that the City lawyer could remember)

We were heard and we all went with the formality of the final decisions being known.

In life..knowing we do what’s right will always bring peace.  Even if it’s not a formal win.

I thank everyone who sided with us.  People who care, want what’s right for the community and mankind. Thanks to those that represented our case at City Hall.

With respect and gratitude!
