Spent my day off from work going door to door collecting signatures and meeting the most wonderful neighbours.  I was lucky to have two neighbours who volunteered their time as well.

Hearing these words from neighbours: 

• "The Government doesn't care"
• "We can't change anything"
• "They will do whatever they want". 

The feeling of defeat that people have is weighing heavily on me... but at least I know that I AM TRYING TO MAKE CHANGE.  I can also see that we are almost at 500 signatures in a short time, so it goes to show that people like yourselves do care about how political decisions and greedy builders affect the lives of hardworking, amazing people.
